0:30.4	In today's study, Dr. Misler begins his session entitled The Post-Exile History.

0:49.8	And we're going to talk now about what's called the post-exile history.
0:55.0	We had the historical books up to the monarchy, then we had the monarchy,
0:59.0	then we had the exile, the captivity and all of that.
1:02.0	Now we're going to have the period of history from the exile,
1:06.0	that is the return from Babylon, up until the end of the Old Testament period.
1:12.7	And that primarily will involve three books, Ezra and Nehemiah, and also the charming
1:19.4	book of Esther.
1:21.5	We're going to touch on the decree of Cyrus.
1:23.7	I made mention of it last time, but we'll focus on it for some special reasons here because it shows up in the book of Ezra.
1:29.3	We'll talk about the book of Ezra which has to do with the rebuilding of the temple.
1:33.3	The book of Nehemiah, which follows it, which is the rebuilding of Jerusalem.
1:37.3	I want you to be sensitive to the distinction.
1:40.3	In Ezra, we're trying to rebuild the temple without the permission of being able to build
1:45.0	the city wall.
1:46.2	Nehemiah comes along and gets that permission, and so he solves a lot of the problems,
