In today's study, Chuck begins his teaching on the book of Ezekiel, chapters 26 and 27.

Well, we are in the book of Ezekiel, and we are in chapters 26 and 27.

It's part of a three-chapter package, although the third of the three, namely chapter 28, we'll leave for next time as a special event, and you'll see why when we get

there.

By way of review, the outline of Ezekiel, the first three chapters was calling the prophet,

and then the next 21 chapters were God's judgment on Jerusalem.

God's judgment always starts at the house of God. So the judgment on Jerusalem was this heavy trip from chapters 4 through 24.

And those passages were given to the people prior to the siege of Jerusalem.

The first siege took Daniel and his three friends as hostages, set up a vassal king.

Nebuchadnezzar went back to work.

They rebelled, came back, replaced that king with a nephew by the name of Zedekiah.

Jerusalem was still in place, but basal to Nebuchadnezzar.

In that siege, the second siege is where Ezekiel is taken hostage, or part of the captives,

and he's taken to Babylon.

So we have Daniel at the capital, going through his adventures in the book of Daniel.
