The Well, we're going to explore another chapter in the Gospel of Mark. In fact, a very exciting one,

the Transfiguration, it's quite a chapter. But whenever we go into the Word of God, we want to do it with prayer.

So it's by our hearts.

Father, we thank you for your word.

We thank you for this opportunity to explore your word.

We do pray that through your Holy Spirit, you would open our hearts and lives to what you

have here for us as we commit this time and ourselves into your hands.

The transfiguration, quite an event.

It's interesting, you know, sometimes a lesson given by a leader needs special

emphasis, and it takes faith to receive and put in a practice some of the various lessons

on discipleship. So a week later, after the last session that we had, the Lord provides a dazzling

proof that God does indeed transform suffering into glory.
