Well, here we are again exploring the book of Luke, and we are in session five studying chapter five of this gospel.

Whenever we enter the Word of God, we always want to do that

with prayer. So let's bow our hearts. Father, we thank you for this book and this opportunity.

We do pray, Father, that you would send the Holy Spirit to open our hearts and lives to what you

have put here for our learning.

That we could grow and grace and the knowledge of our Lord, that we would be more sensitive

to what you would have of us in the days ahead.

As we commit ourselves into your hands, in the name of Jesus, Shua, our coming king indeed.

We went through chapter one looking at the basic annunciations, the birth of Jesus,

the early years in chapter two.

Chapter three, we had the ministry of John the Baptist and Jesus baptism and explored his genealogy.

And then last time, we talked about the temptations of Satan.

And we opened this next session, which focuses on the Galilean ministry.

And that's going to be chapters 4 through 9 will be this major section.
