0:55.9	We of course are in the post-exile and post-exile time period.
1:01.4	We're going to focus in here on these 12 and try to put them in perspective for you.
1:10.4	We have Josea who spoke to the Northern Kingdom.
1:13.6	That's confusing because Josea came from the South, but God commissions them, as you'll see,
1:18.6	to take a message to Jerobone II and the Northern Kingdom. And Josea's book is going to be
1:23.6	very important because I see a real parallel between his situation and our own. Amos is also from the south going against the northern kingdom to take
1:33.3	his messages. Obadiah is in the time of Juhayakim, but his message really goes to the
1:41.0	to Edomites and so forth. Jonah is preaching to the Assyrian Empire prior to the Edomites and so forth. Jonah is preaching to the Assyrian Empire
1:47.0	prior to them finally taking over the Northern Kingdom.
1:51.0	So you need to understand that Jonah's reluctance to go there
1:54.0	was because he was a patriot.
1:55.0	He knew they were the traditional enemy of Israel
1:58.0	and we'll deal with that where we get there.
