Summary

Daniel had the most incredible career imaginable; he was transported as a teenage captive to a pagan empire and became the primary confidante to the ruler of Babylon. When Babylonia was taken over by its enemies, he rose to the second or third position in the Persian Empire. There are only two people in the Bible other than Jesus Christ of which no evil is spoken, Joseph and Daniel. The book of Daniel is in two halves: the first six chapters are historical, which deal with the adventures and career of this remarkable man. The second six chapters are some of the most pivotal and important prophecies of the entire Bible. Without a clear understanding of the book of Daniel you will not understand the times in which we live. This study contains 16 hours of verse by verse teachings. We're going to undertake a study of the book of Daniel, and this book is one of the most fantastic books in the Bible for some very specific reasons. But I also have to share

with you that for me personally, it's probably the book that impacted my life as a young,

impressionable teenager, more than any other thing. I had come to the Lord. I was in my

teens, I accepted Jesus Christ, but like most youth, you know, was busy doing my things.

But I had a friend that happened to have a copy of Sir Robert Anderson's classic work called The Coming Prince. That book at that time

was out of print. This was a treasure that he gave me as a gift. As I got into it, I was blown away.

of Daniel that are really quite startling, and we will be dealing with those when we get

further into the book.

1:55.6

But that so astonished me that it really, it was that, it was the book of Daniel and the discoveries in that book

2:03.6

that galvanized me into the reality that Jesus Christ really is who he claimed to be.

2:12.6

You say you can't prove the Bible, wrong you can. But if you do a little bit of homework.

2:18.3

And the Book of Daniel stands as a pillar, as an apologetic, as well as a book of prophecy, in both terms.

2:26.3

So I think you're going to find it one of the most rewarding studies that you can undertake.
