This week, we're broadcasting live from CLSY Beacon Radio discussing the 2008 psychological

horror film, Pontepool.

This film was directed by Bruce McDonald from a screenplay by Tony Burgess based upon his

own novel, Pontepool changes everything.

With a small main cast and unique ideas,

Pontipool offers a refreshing take on the zombie subgenre, crafting an experience unlike anything

you've ever seen before. Though it had an incredibly limited release, PontiPool was well-received

by critics and has since achieved cult status. This film is recommended to us by friends of the show,

Justice Bernah, Phil Marzano, Sandra Escalera,

and our friends over at Girl That's Scary, Jazz, and Cat.

So, Pontypool, where were your first impressions on the film?

I had never seen or heard of this movie

before. Uh, so I'm very, very glad. And this movie was, was good. I was very, very surprised.

It had me in, I was saying in the first five minutes, I was had. Wow. And I was like,

okay, let's, you know, let's get going.

But I don't want to make it, I don't want to make the expectations too high.

I don't want to think this is a phenomenal movie.
