Can you start us off by introducing yourself to our listeners?

Yes, my name is Susie Furr, and I have had a career in fashion for almost 35 years.

I started as a designer, well I started as a student,

and then I worked as a designer, a pattern maker, and now I am predominantly an educator.

Awesome, and where are you from?

I was born in San Francisco, grew up in San Mateo, which is about 20 miles south of San Francisco, and then moved back to the city

when I was about 19, stayed there for about 20 years, and now I live in Oakland, which is also close

And one of the questions that we always ask our guests on the podcast is how and when you learn
