Summary

On this episode of 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson, the subject is WCW SuperBrawl 2000! Eric was on his "vacation" from WCW at the time, but upon looking up at a TV while on a dinner date with his wife, he saw the Radicalz appear on WWE Monday Night Raw, and he knew a call from Brad Siegel was imminent...which it was. Eric would begin discussions to return shortly thereafter, but in the meantime, WCW was sort of sputtering along, with SuperBrawl 2000 being a strong example of that. The card included WCW Champion Sid Vicious defending against Scott Hall and Jeff Jarrett, Hulk Hogan against Lex Luger. Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk in a Texas Death Match, Billy Kidman vs. Vampiro, Big T (Ahmed Johnson) vs. Booker T, and a disaster of a "match" between Tank Abbott and "Big Al." Also on the card were The Mamalukes, David Flair, The Wall, The Demon, 3 Count and more! Hear Eric's thoughts on the card, plus he also discusses his trip to Qatar, Bobby Heenan being replaced by Mark Madden on Nitro, WCW gaining a new developmental territory, the XFL back in 2000 compared to today, Sabu and his almost but not quite WCW contract and run around this time, working with Paul Heyman in the past and the present, who was on the WCW booking committee/creative team in February 2000, Sting and Hulk Hogan both giving controversial mainstream interviews, and Scott Hall's behavior and his WCW run coming to a close!
