But, you know, in a larger way way it's the same thing with the you know

putting your screen to black for the uh for black lives matter i mean there should be a directed

goal for an online movement to have the most impact in how it would affect the real world and i think

sometimes online activists don't really put as much thought into what they are trying to accomplish in the end with whatever they're trying to do.

I don't think the Black Live putting a Black Squared in Black Lives Matter was a good idea.

And I don't think that this tweet, I mean, there was a BBC article about it, but it didn't seem like it had a huge impact on either like giving money to like organizations or charities that deal with like women who have been like abused before or didn't like have any direct action on making like I'm a sheer do anything or like make Twitch do anything. I don't think it really actually did anything and more people should think about what they want to do and how they want to accomplish it. I mean, organizing shit online is not easy.

That's the other thing.

If you're trying to reach the most amount of people possible, you need everybody to agree.

And in both the Twitch Blackout and the Black Lives Matter, you know, icon the black,

there was so much discussion over whether you should even do it that obviously it was not the right approach.

Yeah, it hurts the movement.

Well, when you're organizing a movement like this and there's not a clear leader because

everything is happening online, how do you even start something that's going to maximize

impact? I mean, you would look at like the larger broadcasters that you would hope would

be on your side and then you would kind of hopefully pressure them or look to them to declare some type of statement that other people would kind of rally behind basic.

So then do you think it needs to come from a larger streamer? Maybe if they would start it off and then gather and use their clout to get other people to do it?
