Hey, y'all. So we've never really done this before, but we wanted to talk to you a bit before

this episode because we know for certain that it's going to be a controversial one. And there were

just some things that we wanted to warn you about as just a little trigger warning because some of

you might want to opt out of this one.

And if you do, that is totally okay. And we respect you.

Yeah, but we just wanted to give you a little bit of a heads up and also just sort of let you know where we were coming from in the recording of it.

Exactly. And why we have chosen to post it, even though it's controversial. So we interview Buck Angel, who some of you may know from Instagram. He refers to himself as Tranpa, because his whole mission statement is talking about his experience and having come out as trans 25 years ago when that was not a recognized thing at all. And having gone through a lot

to get to where he is. And his whole mission is really to be there for youth and to have potentially

difficult conversations, but nuanced ones about what it is to be trans and allow us as a community

to speak about the ways in which we disagree on these topics in the hopes of greater

understanding for everybody. And as Buck says himself in the episode, the opinions expressed

are his own. And we asked questions and listened and engaged in healthy debates.

So, you know, that said, there are certainly going to be those of you out there for whom

Bucks experience bumps up against your own.

And we just want you to know that we see you and respect each of your individual experiences

and that Bucks does not negate yours just as yours does not negate Bucs. Um, and respect each of your individual experiences.

So in terms of the trigger warning part of this, I think it can kind of all be encapsulated

in saying that the baseline of the conversation has to do with the fact that Buck refers to gender as biological.

So biological man, biological woman.

It's okay to disagree with some of the guests that we have on.

And Buck even said during it, if you disagree and you want to talk to him directly, he is very open to talk.
