It is time for Brant's Three Things. Here we go.

It's three things to stop doing if you want to be happier.

Yeah. All right. So number one, how about this?

Stop thinking that happiness is about pleasure and experiences and doing this thing and doing

that thing. I mean, it's just not. But we've been tricked into thinking that largely.

A lot of us, it's happiness is linked to contentment and peace,

but our culture is like finally designed to destroy that.

I mean, think about it.

All the inputs, all the media in our culture,

like that's how it's designed to destroy peace or any kind of contentment.

You're supposed to want more things. You're supposed to resent people.

We're just carpet bomb with that stuff. So it's exactly calibrated to do that. No peace, no

contentment. And that's not going to work. What's so wonderful, though, is to think that Jesus

will actually give us rest. I love that.

Here's the second one. Stop relying on other people for validation. Nobody's going to disagree with that.

No, I need to lean more into validation from other people that I can't control. No one's going to disagree.

It's so easy to say, I know it's going to disagree. It's so easy to say.

I know it's hard to do.

It's really, especially if you're like middle school or something.

So hard.
