On behalf of Pastor J.D. Farag, we'd like to welcome you to our midweek Bible study,

our live stream service, where we're normally going through the Old Testament doing our line-by-line

teaching in God's word. But tonight, we'll be having a topical teaching. And before we get

into that teaching, why don't we bow our hearts in a word of prayer.

Father in heaven, I cannot thank you enough for all that you continue to do despite all this going on.

And I pray, Lord, that you would meet us here tonight and bless us with your word, your word of truth, the word that we can rely on and depend on.

I ask that you would go before me in the strength of your might, and may every word be seasoned with grace.

I thank you now for that which only you can do and provide for us, your sheep.

All right. Tonight, our study is titled Biblical Governance, which has a very broad scope,

if you will.

Many things and many applications can be put to this simple title.

And all of what's contained in it would be impossible for us to get into

in the time that we have together tonight.

But I do believe that we are in a place in time

where much of this has to be discussed.

And I don't think many of you would disagree.

Over the last couple of years, much has been said regarding governance.

In fact, back in July of 2020, we had a two-part study that we did on Mans's inability to govern.

And in that teaching, we briefly looked at some forms of government.

We looked at our governmental makeup, the original foundation of it, so to speak, as well as some of the social issues that were going on then,

along with the non-biblical responses that happened then, and we could even say that they continue to happen today.
