For today's update, I want to follow up on last week and talk about how it is that God is restraining the evil and sustaining the righteous.

And the reason is the common thread in all of the testimonies we received was basically about this.

The increasing of evil and evil is waxing worse and worse seemingly with each passing day, but God.

That which was meant for evil, God means for good, and he's working it for good,

and for the salvation of many this day.

I'm going to start with a well-known one, a prophecy actually in 2nd Thessalonians chapter

2.

I'll begin reading in verse 5 through to verse 8. The Apostle Paul is writing

to the church in Thessalonica. This is his second letter to them. And he says to them, do you not

remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things. And now you know what is

restraining that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains will do so until

he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will consume with the breath of his mouth

and destroy with the brightness of his coming. Can't wait. Psalm 55, verse 22, cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you.

He will never permit the righteous to be moved, shaken. And Isaiah 46, verse 4, by the way, Lord willing, we're going to

resume our study on Thursday nights. We're going through the Bible, and we're currently in the

book of Isaiah. But I want to draw your attention to verse 4 of chapter 46. Listen to this. Even to your old age and gray hairs,

I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you. I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

Wow. That is a promise that every single one of us should hang onto, especially in this day in which we are

living. Please know that these are just three of many passages of Scripture that speak to
