Today we'll be discussing the roster for the next set of friendlies coming up on September 6th and 10th against

Mexico and Uruguay. Greg first of all are these friendlies meaningless? No no they

definitely are not meaningless.

We have so much ground that we need to cover between now and the qualifiers that every opportunity

we have to get the group together, some portion of the group together, is actually really

important. And then again, going all the way back to 2017, we failed to qualify for World Cup.

We are in no position to take anything for granted. Like if you're in this camp,

like you need to show up and you need to,

you need to perform if you're a US men's national team player.

Yeah, we have, we have a consensus,

a consensus of two on this question.

World Cup qualifying begins in exactly 12 months.

We have basically 10 matches between now and then, plus January camp.

Just some facts to back up here point there now under Greg Berhalter the roster

Announcements have been moved up quite a bit so we got to get out ahead of this in terms of our

Podcasting schedule the list could be was could be published any day now without warning which I'm glad about you

know it seemed like the roster announcements were coming later than other nations back before Berhalter was hired and

now they're now it seems like they're coming a lot earlier. They are and then the

only issue is we've already had sort of the roster announcement jinx where they come out two weeks early instead of one week

...
