Going great. How's it going down there in Texas?

You know, Texas, Texas things. It's getting warmer by the day.

So you're, uh, you're in the Air Force. Um, what'd you do?

I was, um, uh, I went in to be, uh, attack P, uh, it was actually right after I said,

it was the classic story, right, uh, September 12th, 2001. I actually was my enlistment date.

And, um, I went to a bunch of recruiters and I was like, I want to do something really cool.

And, uh, the Air Force guy was there and he's like, come see what attack P does and he's told me on it.

So they sent me to, um, officer candidate school because I had my bachelor's degree.

And while I was there, I guess all, all possible flyers have to take like a battery of flying exams.

And I scored well and, uh, I had no, like, none of my whole life, I had no anticipation to ever fly an aircraft.

And then they came to me and they're like, hey, do you want to fly? I was like, I don't know.

I guess so. Let's, let's do this. So I ended up being a flyer, a navigator, a navigator backseat guy, especially in C-130s down a Bragg.

So what does a backseat navigator do because I've jumped out of those things before, but I never really paid attention to the front of the aircraft.

A lot of mission planning, a lot of, um, uh, weapon systems, defensive systems.
