hot podcast podcasting from the horrid halls of academia. I'm Alex West with Andrea

C. Bessatti and Sparkle Sparkle. We're back. I think you put it so well last

episode when you said it's the episode nobody asked for. No one. And I think

that's just proven to be true. Even truer in the weeks ensuing, we've gotten a

little bit of feedback. I'm gonna hazard this. I don't think we've ever gotten

this much feedback on an episode we've announced before. That tells me we're

doing something right. Yeah, and to be clear, we are talking about the 2008 film

Twilight and not all of the feedback. In fact, I think almost all of it. None of it

was positive. None of it? I don't think so. Maybe a couple like, oh, that could be

interesting or I'm interested to hear you guys talk about it. You're out there.

I know there are some tryhards out there who are like, oh my god, I don't

dare admit how excited I am. Well, it's almost as if our culture has, you know,

taken a collective dump on this phenomenon and this film and it's a place to

put all of your rage about young women. Yup. There is a lot of feedback on this

and a lot of people like reaching out and there's a lot of preconceptions about
