Summary

Episode 93 of The Independent Characters has us returning to our annual “Year in Review” episode. And if you thought 2012 was full of Warhammer 40k goodness, you ain’t seen nothing yet!

2013 may go down on record as being the most active, and controversial year for Warhammer 40k ever! Between the multitude of Codex releases, the Forge World Imperial Armour AND Horus Heresy releases, the Black Library books and digital content, there seemed to be no end to the constant outpouring of 40k content!

Some was filled with controversy and others celebrated for their achievement, but no one can argue that we weren’t ALL kept very busy!

In our first episode of 2014, we discuss 2013 as it relates to Warhammer 40k. We have a tremendously large Hobby Progress and Games Played section as well. I want to thank Adan and Justin for joining me on this episode and we welcome your feedback!

0:37.3	we're going to be covering 2013 this is our year-end retrospective and I think nobody will say that it wasn't action packed.

0:53.9	hobby progress to discuss. Heck yeah. And we get a little sidetracked during that too, but we have the
0:59.7	hobby progress challenge going on if you haven't signed up for this like Blake and Ed from
1:05.4	Life after the cover save Blake says he's gonna make 2015 hobby progress challenge
1:10.4	The Hobby Progress Challenge gets you to a fully painted army by the end of the entire challenge.
1:15.6	This one's a little bit different. We have rules up that you can see on our forum.
1:21.1	And there's an entire section dedicated to the Hobby Progress Challenge itself and it's
1:25.3	going to run up until I believe November is the date that it runs to.
1:30.4	It doesn't actually start until February 1st, but that's okay. You can start already and get a job.
1:36.4	People are starting like gangbusters.
1:38.4	Yeah, we have about 165 people that have currently joined. Last year we had 250 total so we're already
1:44.6	well on our way. It's really funny because I started getting a lot of questions
1:48.4	about what are you going to do next year's when you can do next year's and
1:51.8	honestly at that point I wasn't sure we were going to do it next year but I got so many
1:55.6	questions about it I was like all right well we'll do another one the desire was there for sure
1:59.6	clearly the popularity of this has exceeded my expectations.
