and this is Seth. Hello Seth. Hello Jonathan. Super excited. Episode 920. Oh yeah dude. I'm

going to share with you right off the bat here. The New York Times stopped doing this in August

of 2020. They stopped doing TV listings. They started in 1939. For 81 years you get in the New

York Times you go into your you know your arts section. Arts and entertainment section and get

what the daily schedule. Sort of a daily schedule and I'm assuming you know they're probably also

the picks and you got it baby. Well it's now May of 2022. The USA Today and the Los Angeles

Times have both followed suit with they are done with television listings as we as the way we watch

TV has changed so have we says the USA Today with the increasing number of streamers and digital

on demand options are long running daily prime time listing of broadcasts in cable channels.

No longer reflects the way we watched no longer reflects the way we watch television.

USA Today started in 1982. They've been doing it every day. The LA Times have been doing it for

probably probably longer than both. Like you said not only like a grid but you know and I

follow a lot of sort of as you see I have my my little calendar that I have out of what's coming

but I do that setting up for the month but then I also do it daily. Occasionally something will

slip through and I might grab it. I might grab a pick off of a yeah not often it's happened.

It's happened but if it's happening once every once in a while do you I mean if it's happened once

a month and that's enough for me to print this but Jonathan the world done done done done it

the way we watch TV and it's true there are a lot of streamers TV guys still exist in a print

edition yeah so you can still get TV guide which I do she'll steal them from work or steal them

gets them from work is it the same format no it's more of a bigger bigger magazine looks like a
