Summary

When Kevan Chandler was diagnosed with a rare neuromuscular disease as a small child, it would have seemed that his life would have limits. How could it not be when he would never even take a single step? But Kevan chose not to let his disability define him. With the help of his friends, Kevan has traveled without a wheelchair across Europe and China, written a book called We Carry Kevan, and founded a nonprofit to improve accessibility all over the world. Kevan joins Davey to talk about how his disability has impacted his life and his faith, and how he’s taken what he’s learned beyond himself to make an impact on the world. 0:56.2	whether a podcast is in person or the podcast is done over like a Zoom call remotely.
1:04.0	Some of the people we have that we bring in and we interview them in person
1:08.0	and some people we do over a Zoom call.
1:10.0	And we had this one noted, our systems were great, we had this one noted that it was in person.
1:17.0	But I knew Kevin's story, and in my mind, of course, when you let the leader barge in on the systems he always
1:23.6	messes it up right that's why systems are there you're not supposed to say we
1:26.3	have systems that's exactly right so the leader can't mess it all up so I was
1:30.2	like there's how there's no way that he's going to be coming to my house to do
1:34.7	this in person and it's because Kevin is wheelchair bound he's got a degenerative
1:39.6	muscular disorder that has has left him wheelchair bound for most of his life.
1:46.6	And I'm like, this must be a mistake in our system.
1:49.4	And so we kind of set it all up, had our engineer Tommy come in and set up for a Zoom call.
