| 0:00.0 | Good morning and welcome to our second service on Sunday mornings. |
| 0:05.1 | We are going through the Bible book by book and chapter by chapter and verse by verse. |
| 0:11.5 | And today's text is going to be Hebrews chapter 6 versus 1 through 6. |
| 0:18.8 | And for those of you that are here, I'll ask you to stand. You can follow along |
| 0:22.6 | as I read. Those of you online, follow along. Beginning in verse 1, where the writer of Hebrews, |
| 0:31.6 | under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, says, therefore, let us move beyond the elementary teachings |
| 0:43.4 | about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death and of faith |
| 0:59.2 | in God, instruction about cleansing rights, verse 2, the laying on of hands, the resurrection |
| 1:10.0 | of the dead and eternal judgment, and God permitting, we will do so. |
| 1:18.8 | It is impossible, verse 4, for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, |
| 1:35.6 | who have tasted the goodness of the Word of God, and the powers of the coming age. And verse 6, who have fallen away to be brought |
| 1:52.9 | back to repentance. Oh dear. To their loss, they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. |
| 2:10.6 | Did you get that? |
| 2:12.4 | Should we just self-explanatory, right? |
| 2:15.0 | Just closing prayer and fellowship, no? We better pray, yeah. |
| 2:24.3 | Father in heaven, we readily admit and are keenly aware that the text we have before us today is such that it's going to require |
| 2:35.8 | the Holy Spirit to give us understanding, to open the eyes of our understanding. Otherwise, |
| 2:45.2 | we have no hope of getting this and seeing what it is that you want to show to us or hear and receive that which |
| 2:58.5 | you desire today to speak to us. So Lord, we're going to ask you at this time, as only you can, by the Holy Spirit, to settle |
| 3:14.1 | our hearts and enable us to focus our attention so that you can minister to us and speak |
| 3:23.6 | into our lives in and through your word. |
| 3:28.4 | Lord, we ask you for this and thank you in advance for what you're going to do in our time together today. |
