Good evening. Welcome to our live stream midweek Bible studies. Sorry for the late start.

I have several people that I can blame and will post their names and Social Security numbers.

So on Thursday nights, we're going through the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, line upon line,

precept upon precept as we're going to see tonight. And we're currently in the amazing book of Isaiah.

And tonight, Lord willing, two chapters, chapter 27 and 28. And I'll invite you if you're not there

already to turn there. And why don't we begin with a word of prayer.

Loving Heavenly Father, thank you so much for your word.

And for this time that we have on a Thursday night to come to this place and just catch our breath,

take a deep breath, settle our hearts, focus our attention, give you our undivided attention, so that we can just be fed and

minister to in and through your word. So, Lord, we just want to submit ourselves and commit ourselves to you in this time that we have together tonight in your word.

And, Lord, we want to ask your blessing on our study of your word, on the teaching of your word.

Lord, would you speak into our lives, We pray in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen.

All right. So, in our study through these two chapters, we can both ask and answer the question of whether or not we will stand or fall, especially

in this world with everything that's happening in this world today. And the reason being is that woven into the fabric of the chapters

that are before us this evening, as with all of Scripture, they point to the person of Jesus Christ.

Doubtless you've heard it said that every chapter of every book in the Bible

speaks to and points to the person of Jesus Christ. Starting with Genesis 1-1, by the way,

in the beginning. And in the creation account, notice very interesting, very important too,

that God doesn't say, let me make man in my image. He says, let us make man in our image. That's the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
