Greetings, dear listeners. This is Jonah Goldberg, the host of the Remnant Podcast.

0:29.9

This week is a little weird for me. I'm going to be traveling first for work and then to go to Spain for a family vacation.

0:39.9

Long story short, months ago I went on a national review cruise. Everyone should sign up if they've never been on one.

0:48.9

Rob Long and I did a night owl session where we've done many times in the past, sometimes with John Pador, sort of like with the podcast Glob.

1:00.9

Before that we used to do it with Mark Stein and it's sort of a fun, light, bush-belty kind of thing at nighttime.

1:08.9

Some listeners may recall I recorded a podcast with Charlie Cook on that cruise. I also recorded my thing with Rob Long and then lost the recorder and the recording for months on end.

1:26.9

I had a big sense that the audience liked it and I had Jack listen to it and he said the audio quality meant the minimum standards that we have here, which is saying something.

1:50.9

He said it was amusing enough. As sort of a placeholder this is going to be a joint ricochet or globb and remnant podcast with Rob Long and I. Rob for those who don't know is a storied television producer from Hollywood. He was a young executive producer on Cheers.

2:11.9

He's the maximum Puba at ricochet.com which is a great place and this is just riffing with no set script or ideas about what to riff about as the thing proceeds, my drinking probably becomes more obvious.

2:28.9

But I don't actually remember that which is not a sign of the drinking, it's just a sign of how long it's been since we did this. Jack is there anything else that we need to mention with this?

2:37.9

I was in November of last year. Was it in November of last year? Okay.

2:41.9

But there's no, it's not dated because you don't talk about any political topic.

2:45.9

That was the point of it. Yeah. So without further ado, I bring you this special, strange episode of the remnant podcast.

2:53.9

Not episode 11 though. Not episode 11. That cannot be released.

2:57.9

Nope.

2:58.9

You know, in show business, we should have been introduced. Yeah, I was waiting for that.

3:14.9

A lot of NR people kind of milling around like, whoa, what was your supposed to introduce us actually? Yeah, louder.

3:24.9

Really? So I can hear you fine. Okay, I need these.

3:32.9

We were saying that if Jack were running a tighter ship, he would have introduced us or had somebody introduced us rather than having us do it ourselves.

3:40.9

It's considered the thing. I'm just saying. He could run up here now and try to make amends, but it's too late. It's a little too late.

3:48.9

I haven't been kidding her, but you don't know what might happen.

3:52.9

Yeah, I think Kevin seems very comfortable over there. He doesn't really need to be disturbed.
