Throughout most of 1608, Simon Dansaker was a particularly active

pirate. In fact, he may have been the most active pirate, at least in the Mediterranean.

After his stint in Algiers, teaching the Algerian shipwrights how to build round ships

and gaining the trust and protection of Redawan Pasha,

Simon Dansaker went out on the crews.

Now John Ward may have been responsible for more ships captured and more slaves brought in

than Simon Danancaker.

His Tunisian fleet, well it was massive.

There were ships under his command sailing out there capturing ship after ship after ship.
