| 1:15.0 | Alright, so David John Bernie was born on February 16, 1951, and was the oldest of five children. |
| 1:22.0 | He grew up in the semi-rule suburb of Waddle Grove, Western Australia, and his family was known as being somewhat dysfunctional among other members of the community. |
| 1:31.0 | There were a lot of rumors about the family's promiscuity and alcoholism, and there were also rumors that they engaged in incest. |
| 1:39.0 | David's parents were known as being a very unlikely pair. |
| 1:42.0 | His mother was known for her course manner, her use of profanities, and her unfavorable behavior of exchanging sexual favors with taxi drivers as payment for fairers. |
| 1:52.0 | His father on the other hand was known as being a small man with an unattractive appearance that was more quiet and subdued. |
| 1:58.0 | David's school friends have made comments that the Bernie's home was always unkemmed and that the family never had regular meals together with the parents basically never cooking for their children. |
| 2:09.0 | In 1961, when David was just 10 years old, his parents divorced, and he was expected to care for his five younger siblings. |
