between the person I am today and the person I was a few months ago.

Then I thought I was a girl who lost her memory. Now I know

I'm too young to have memories, that I'm a chimera built from the scraps of eight gifted people.

Then I wandered the city where I was born, looking for clues. Now that city's dead. You know the one I mean.

Then I recorded messages for the person I thought was my lover.

Now I know that that person, Zachary, was someone I was programmed to love, someone I've never spoken to directly.

And now I don't know who these messages are for.

Then I stumbled into danger without ever meaning to.

Now?

Now when I step into danger, it's because I was sent there.
