Hello truth seekers and welcome back to another episode of the truth seekers

podcast. A truth seeker is someone who wants to know the truth. They search

for what's true and they won't rest until they find it.

In our last episode, we learned about twin brothers, Jacob, and Esau.

We learned about the word birthright, which was the right of the firstborn to receive a double portion of the father's inheritance.

Since Isa was the oldest, the birthright was to go to him.

But in a moment of hunger and desperation,

Esau gave up his birthright to his younger brother, Jacob, for a bowl of stew. Have you ever wanted something so badly you were

willing to do anything for it? Maybe you have known someone who wanted something so badly that they were even tempted to lie or deceive in order to get what they wanted.

In today's episode, we are going to learn a little bit more about Jacob.

Did you know that Jacob's name means deceiver?

To deceive is not good.

To deceive means to cause going to believe something that is not true.

In this story we are going to see how Jacob will live up to his name

and deceive even his own father, Isaac.

You see as Isaac was getting older, the Bible says his eyes were so weak that he could no longer

see. He called for Esau his oldest son and said to him,

My son,

Here I am, answered Esau.

Isaac said, I am now an old man and don't know the day of my death.

Now then get your weapons, your bow and arrow, and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.
