Greetings dear listeners. This is episode nine of the Remnant podcast with me,

Jonah Goldberg. I'm recording this after I did an interview or a conversation I

should say since I ended up hectoring poor Matt Contanetti, the editor-in-chief

of the Washington-free beacon for a while. The whole idea of this was to do a pretty

hardcore conservative history, conservative ideas, conservative dogma nerd

fest, and I think we kind of hit the mark for the most part. I have to digest

some of it, but I also asked him you know some really important questions about

how he lives with himself being the employer of Sonny Bunch and some other

things, but you can if you listen to the end you'll hear all that. And I just

want to say thanks again for listening. We just just saw this week that the

Remnant podcast is the after just eight episodes. It's the it's ranked 58th in

iTunes chart of news and politics podcasts. I think we can do a lot better than

that, but 58 is great given that we only have eight episodes. We're also

creeping up on that thousand review mark that I was really hoping to hit

purely out of spite for some of my friends. And the one thing I do want to ask you

guys and I'll repeat this at the end is it's really important if you like the

podcast, not just to review it, but it's probably even more important that you

subscribe to it on one of the big platforms, whether it's Stitcher or iTunes or

whatever, so that it automatically downloads because that then goes into our

statistics about subscribers. We're doing fantastically well on downloads, but a

lot of you are getting them from the National Review website rather than

subscribing to them in your podcast players or whatever you call them. So if you
