Can Christians dispatch, command or tell angels what to do? It's a common practice among

especially Charismatics and Pentecostals to dispatch angels, to send angels, to command angels,

to tell angels what to do, as though angels

are employed and they are on a salary and they are our servants. We will answer that in just a

moment. First of all, angels are spiritual beings who assist God, especially in his work of salvation,

conveying his work to human beings and attending to the needs of God's people.

Angels or angelic beings are mentioned over 273 times in 34 books of the Bible. In fact, the Bible

says more about angels than about demons or devils. The first angel we see in the Bible is in Genesis

3, verse 24 24 and that is the

cherubim who was assigned to protect the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve were expelled from it.

Now obsession with angels is very common in our culture today. There's angel cards. There's also

conferences focused on angels. There's angel cards. There's also conferences focused on angels. There's calendar

angels. There is people connecting with angels. The whole new age is obsessed with angels. Mind you that many

false religions started with founders having interaction and encounter with an angel.

May I remind you that the Bible warns us that even if the angel will come and preach a different

gospel that we have to reject it. The Bible says also in 2 Corinthians 11,

chapter 14 and 15 that the devil presents himself as an angel of light.
