What's going on, beautiful people? It is the Need to Know podcast, episode 88. I go by the name

Savon. I'm here with Alex and the beautiful Steph, Steph Stiles, as always. The tone of my voice

is a little bit different today, as we all know, the untimely passing of NBA legend, a

worldly legend, an idol, an icon, a superhero in a sense, Kobe Bryant,

was taken away from us this past week at the age of 41, which has all of our hearts

in a different place, all of our minds in a different place. It allows us to reflect, allows

us to feel mortal.

And in a time of being ungrateful, maybe subconsciously,

it forces us to kind of really be grateful for the people in our lives,

the friends that we have.

And so today's podcast, obviously, you know,

the tone of everyone, the aura has been different, but this podcast will be that. We are

dedicated in this entire episode to Kobe Bryant and the families and individuals who were lost in this tragic accident.

So if you were coming here to kind of hear about the Grammys or if you was coming here to kind of hear about some of the other fun stuff and we do appreciate Parks and Rim coming by.

That's another episode that we probably would have spent a lot of attention to.

You know, the timing of this just doesn't feel right to do any of those things at the moment.

So, you know, before you guys sit with us for the next few hours, I just want to let you know.

This will be exclusively about Kobe Bryant, who has played a huge part in all of our lives subconsciously, including my own.

So with that being said, Alex and Steph, thank you guys for pulling out and coming here because it was hard.

It was hard for me to get here today.
