about the everything that's going on with teachers in the country, the teacher shortage,

what's happening in Florida with Ron DeSantis and his war on teachers, I think it's

fair to say.

Yes, indeed. Eric is someone I've been following a long time. I actually first started

following him during the Red for Ed teacher strike, which of course I was very interested

in as well and was on the ground for part of that in West Virginia and Kentucky. And

he actually wrote a book called Red State Revolt. What the teacher's strike wave means

for workers and politics. He's a professor of labor studies at Rutgers University as well.

So a lot to talk to him about this week.
