Good morning and welcome to another exciting edition of BTL Bass Talk Live,

where we're going to talk about Bass Fishing and we have a new Red Crest Champion.

And I think it was Rick Flair who said to be the man you have to beat the man.

It's a little homage there Mark Jeffries, big wrestling fan.

Well, in the case of Lake Norman Bryan Thrift is the man and no one was able to beat the man.

In fact, Bryan Thrift went out on Lake Norman in Red Crest and pretty much dominated.

And I think he did it in an intentional fashion.

4th of the three days that they did the combined weight,

Alton Jones Jr., in second, 42, 6, followed by Edwin Evers, Jacob Wheeler,

Matt Lee, Casey Ashley, Dustin Connell, Adrienne Naveena, Randy Howell, and Aunt Defo.

And listen, I was not 100% positive how this format was going to work out going into Red Crest this year,

obviously MLF and the BPT going with a five fish format cumulative weight.

And I got to admit, I really like how they did it.

I really like how they did Red Crest.

They had two days full field 40 anglers cut to the top 20, then the weight zero.
