So, Welcome to another episode of 40 minutes in the Old Testament. I'm Daniel Henry Price joined by The Chad Bird.

Hey, good morning. Yeah, there it is. There he is. Jumping at the bit. Yeah, you can't

wait to get into them commandments. Yeah, I've been practicing them all week. I think I've

I think I've got it down now. I'm ready. Especially been working on the last eight since that's what we're covering today.

So you're like you don't want to talk about things that you haven't walked in perfectly. Right. Yeah, that's it. Got them down. Awesome. Well, what are what are the last eight? Yeah, so we we're going to start with the Sabbath. We spend a little bit of time,

actually be spent almost the whole time last week.

Introducing the 10th Commandments and then talking about the first two, especially the first, because as we discussed last time,

the first really is the head of the commandments, not just in numbering, not just in sequence, but in importance because if you keep the first commandment, then you're going to keep all of them.

If you don't keep the first command, then you're gonna break all of them.

So it's all about having the right God, fearing, loving,

and trusting in him above all things.

But if idolatry is involved,, which of course with centers it always is, that everything else, all the other dominoes are going to fall.

So we talked about that quite a bit, and then we moved on to the second commandment,

which in the numbering system that we're following

is not to take the Lord's name in vain.

Some of you may be raised with a different numbering of the commandments.

So you just kind of gotta keep that in mind and have to make the switch in your own head as we're

going through here.

We had to pick one.

Yeah, we couldn't go with uh we

couldn't balance between the Jewish the the Protestant and the Roman Catholic slash

Lutheran number existence so we're we're going with a Lutheran.
