When our children are young, they speak as children, understand as children, and think as children.

And when they become adults, they're expected to put away childish things.

The trouble is, many children feel pressured to put away childish things long before its time,

I believe, and many experts would agree, that having a whole and healthy childhood is the key

This means that the best way for a child to prepare to be five

is a harrowing one. There are distractions at every turn, but there is no higher calling for a wild and free mama. We have the

great honor of restoring childhood for our children. This means letting our kids become bored and being

okay with it. It's refusing to fall into the comparison trap. It's facing our fears and failures and doing something about it.
