Garrity, we had over the weekend a big Marco Rubio speech at the Munich Security Conference

has gotten a lot of attention. I thought it was pretty spectacular. I agreed with almost all

of it except for I'm not where he is on trade, at least not generally, maybe with regard to China.

But this is basically a version of a message we've heard, tough love message we've heard

with regard to Europe before, most famously or notoriously, J.D. Vance right at the outset of

the administration.

But this was, we're in it together kind of J.D. Vance right at the outset of the administration, but this was,

we're in it together kind of speech. We need you guys to do better because we all want to do better and we all want to defend the Western Alliance and our cultural heritage. What did you make of it?

So I think by itself it was a great speech. I think the context of it in a year in which America's

European allies have felt like the Trump administration has basically given them one middle finger

after another, probably climaxing in the either the text to the prime minister of Norway or the threats about

Greenland, it's just a, you know, dramatically different tone from Vance's message from a year

ago. And I think that, you know, at least for all outward appearances, Vance and Ruby USA, they get

along really well. A lot of people

speculate about the two of them running for president, whether they would both run for president or

what wants to be the running mate. I assume, you know, Rubio would be the running made of Vance.
