As background, my wife and I have a big call to serve in a local YSA ward.

And being new in the ward, we were asked to give talks last Sunday.

And so I will give my talk again here on the podcast so you can hear my words and maybe some things I share will be helpful.

I wish you could hear my wife's talk too. She gave a terrific talk focused on joy and about our

savior and our beautiful doctrine. We're in a YSA ward that's ages 26 through

35 along the Wasatch front. They've split some of the YSA wards. So we're what's in an older

YSA ward. We don't look at them as old. We just look at them as incredibly capable. But let me

give my talk now. I do say some wonderful words which are true about my wife.

She's my best friend and she will bless your lives. My wife and I love and support our bishop and his wife.

We felt their love for you are honored to be in this ward. They are exceptional. You, the YSAs, are exceptional.

As we've heard your comments, listen to your talks, heard the things you're doing, you are exceptional,

and we are honored to rub shoulders with you. Our assignment is we serve on the direction of the bishop.

He gives us names of people to reach out to. Same with the Elder's Cormority President. But you're welcome to reach out to us and share what's ever

in your heart. On LDS tools, we're called welfare and self-reliant, but we're broader than that.

We like to think of ourselves as a ministering couple. We usually meet at our home. My wife may

even feed you. The purpose of my talk is to bring

more hope, healing, and peace into our lives by better understanding the character of our

heavenly parents than our Savior and their love for us. And I have about seven concepts I'd like to go
