This week, we're broadcasting live from a shady Roman hospital discussing the 1976 horror classic, The Omen.

This film was directed by Richard Donner from a screenplay by David Seltzer.

The Omen continued a growing trend of religious-themed horror films kick-started

by the success of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist.

Made on a budget of less than $3 million, the Omen would go on to achieve box office success despite a mixed critical reception.

Anchored by a great cast, including Hollywood legend Gregory Peck, frightening visuals, and an Oscar-winning score from Jerry Goldsmith,

the Omen would not only

spawn several sequels and a remake, but it is widely considered a horror classic.

What were your first impressions on the film?

I remember watching this a lot when we were kids, and clearly not since. I didn't even realize that this was Gregory Peck. Mm-hmm. And clearly not since.
