June 14th, 2021. What is Flag Day? Two thousand, twenty-one. Flag Day is every June 14th commemorates

the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14th, 1777 by resolution

of the Second Continental Congress. So we salute the flag on this flag day, just like I salute you

for listening to this podcast. Hope you had a nice weekend. I was thinking that we might get

fully fledged Wizards news over the weekend.

We did not. The rumblings, though, do continue that the Wiz will be retaining Scott Brooks as head coach,

but that hasn't yet been widely reported to say nothing of that being official.

I don't know about you, though, but watching the Phoenix Suns close out the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night at the Nuggets 125-18, I could not help but think of our whiz.

The damn Washington Wizards.

Yes, that team.

And I know, Nikola Yokic, who just won MVP for the regular season, ejected in the third quarter on Sunday night for a flagrant foul type two.

That certainly did not help out the nuggets.

But still, the suns are flying right now.

The suns were a bad team for years, six consecutive losing seasons until this season, during which the sons went 51 and 21 in the regular season to get the number

two seed in the Ultra Tough Western Conference. The Sons now have won a franchise

record seven consecutive playoff games, and the Sons now are in the Western Conference

finals. The Sons swept the nuggets in four games in the second round.

Devin Booker is very good. DeAndre Aiton is very good. But you very much could argue that

the Sun's MVP is Chris Paul. Chris Paul in his age 35 season was so good on Sunday night.
