Summary

In this episode I'm joined by Tom Canton of Football London to discuss Arsenal's 1-0 defeat to PSG in the Champions League semi-final first leg last night. We discuss the way the visitors dominated the opening stages – were they very good or were the Gunners bad? We analyse the goal we conceded, and some of their other chances, before we look at the opportunities Mikel Arteta's side had to score through Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. We also had a goal disallowed, but were probably fortunate in the end that PSG didn't score again. There's also some chat about the fans/atmosphere, and how the tie is poised going into the second leg in Paris next week.

This morning we are going to look back at the 1-0 defeat to PSG in the Champions

League, semi-final, first leg at the Emirates last night. Not the ideal result, and certainly

0:47.1

aspects of the performance will have raised some questions or caused a bit of worry along the way,

0:54.0

but I do think while this is a game that could potentially have been more emphatic in terms of the scoreline for PSG,

1:02.3

it's also one that could very easily have finished one-one.

1:05.6

We had some chances.

1:06.7

We didn't take.

1:07.5

We had a goal disallowed.

1:09.0

So there were some fine margins at play, I think, on both sides.

1:13.2

You have to hold your hands up and say, it could have been better for PSG.

1:17.0

It also could have been better for us.

1:19.5

And I do think it is an interesting game to go into, an interesting occasion to look back on.

1:25.7

Obviously, there is a second leg next week in Paris. It's all still

1:29.5

to play for. 1-0. We're very much alive in this tie. So why don't we just delve right into it?

1:35.9

I'm with me to do that this morning from the Guna Talk and from Football London. It is Tom

Canton. Good morning, Tom. Hey, how you do, man? You're okay? I'm okay, you know, I think we could all be a little bit better this morning,

based on the expectations and the hopes that we had going into last night's game

1:51.3

and, you know, the occasion, the potential for history, all that kind of stuff.

1:56.5

It didn't quite go as planned, I think it's fair to say.

Nevertheless, I think we're alive,
