because I simply cannot not talk about my favorite movies and there's so many of

them that we need to cover, including today's movie, which we are talking about the strangers.

And I've seen this movie so many times, but rewatching it for this episode and being like

fully engrossed in it, having no no distractions have it like not being on my phone my

god this movie still scares me to my fucking core guys like this is the home invasion movie

to end all other home invasion movies like this is the movie that made people scared to be home alone like i would compare this to

jaws and the way that jaws is the movie that made people scared to be in the water the

strangers did to your home what jaws did to the water and like there had been home invasion

movies before but honestly if you ask me,

none like this, none that even come close to this. I think this movie is a masterclass in

pacing, storytelling, tension building, atmosphere setting, literally everything you want in cinema,

not even just horror movies, just cinema, period. This movie does it so perfectly.

And it's something that I honestly don't think can be replicated. And this is,

we did 2000s core month last month,

but this technically falls into that too because this movie came out in 2008. So this indeed

is a 2000s core horror movie. And for me, it's at the top of the list because 2000s core,

we got a lot of like some, we got some goofy movies, right? So like House of Wax, Prom Night, a lot of the ones that we covered last month, like sorority row. I love them, but I know they're fucking goofy, right? This movie is downright fucking terrifying. This movie traumatized an entire generation of people and I think probably is still traumatizing people to this day.

This is a movie that genuinely freaked me the fuck out the first time I saw it. And I saw this movie.
