Welcome to the Ellis James and John Robbins podcast from XFM.

This is my first show back from the Edinburgh Festival.

So it's lovely to be here with all the team, producer Dave, intern Vin, Ellis James.

I think it was a pretty good show, man.

Yes, plenty to talk about.

Lots of hot topics.

Because, well, I won't give it away, but I went to Cyprus to watch Wales play.

So I'm feeling sort of 50% fragile, 50% fantastic, which gives the show a strange dynamic.

And we've both got, well I've got a plug to reiterate that I mentioned at the end of the show,

which is the Common People Prom, the first annual Common People Prom, which is an aid of crisis,

and it's at the Electric Ballroom in Camden. Now, what that is, is a live incarnation of Friday I'm in Love, which is a live

karaoke with a full band, and everyone in the audience sings, and they're having guests on,

who will include Bez, James Row, McCallmont, David McCallmont, Guy Davis, and myself, and we'll all be singing tracks, I'll become dressed as Sir Freddie Mercury.

And they really well.

Yeah, and I'm thinking of forking out $250 for a bespoke leather, Freddie Mercury jacket, replica. Because I'm getting through too many

cheek-wise.
