Hey, you pinkers. We're glad you back for another Pink bike podcast because this is going to be a good one.

I'm Mike Levy, and today I've got Matt Beer, Henry Quinny, and Mike Kassamer on the show,

because episode 82 is all things field testing.

Now, if you're a new listener, watcher, or reader, and you don't know what the field test video series is all about,

the gist is that we pick a category of bike, like Enduro and E-Bikes, for example, and then get in a bunch of the newest and most notable examples to compare them against each other. So while our normal standalone reviews that you see

every Monday are very in-depth, the field test takes that same detailed approach, but is all

about comparisons. Now, why do we do it that way?

Because you already know that these expensive bikes, well, they're probably going to be pretty damn good, aren't they?

But what we don't know is how they compare to each other.

So that's what field testing is all about.

Now, we're going to get into how we tested the bikes in a few minutes, but there's really

nothing better than back to back to back to back to back comparisons, especially if you're

trying to test a bunch of the same category of bikes.

It's really the best way to do it.

Now, I don't know how many field tests we've done in the past, but it feels like around 100 or

something. We've done cross-country bikes, trail bikes, and even a couple field tests where we've

had a ton of value-minded bikes. But this time around, it was four of the latest EMTBs and five of the

most interesting enduro bikes. And before you ask, yes, we definitely would have

had more bikes. But as most of you know right now, bikes are pretty hard to come by right now.

A lot of them are not available. And no, we did not review the bike you wanted to see. I'm not

even sorry about it anymore. Next time, fax me a list of the bikes that you want to see reviewed and we'll get them in.

So, aside from the bikes, we had some fresh meat for this podcast.
