but Barry Weiss has been made editorial director of CBS News, which is just, it's truly extraordinary.

Here was someone who was expelled, basically from the New York Times opinion page goes and starts

her own startup publication, which has been fantastic, the free press, and now Paramount has acquired

free press and put her in charge of the Tiffany Networks news division,

which stands for everything that's gone wrong in broadcast news for decades now.

And now there's a chance that can be rectified.

And you had one of these broadcast news operations actually being

reasonable and truly down the middle. What do you make of it? Well, it's a remarkable story. Her arc

is truly something that I don't think anybody could replicate.

And there's a lot of hope, I feel, for the future of this institution.

We shouldn't undersell the scale of the problem before Barry or her organization.

This is a giant institution, a legacy institution.
