James Comey, indicted, and is Donald Trump a Ukraine Hawk now?

Eastern District. We had Trump remove his own choice, his U.S. attorney, down there because

he thought this is not a case that

it was going to succeed, not a case that should be brought.

He was out, Lindsey Halligan, a personal lawyer who's been an aide in the White House.

This was job number one.

She has fulfilled it.

Two-count indictment.

Apparently, an attempted third count failed before the grand jury.

What do you make of it?

Yeah, I mean, this is not surprising.

There is an element of the Trump administration, the second Trump administration that is about revenge on enemies.

It's just that the charges brought here don't make a lot of sense.

There's lots of things to criticize James Comey about in his entire career.

He seems to be a self-regarding, like, primping person who is only concerned about how it looks for him.

And in being that way, he has proved to be a kind of disaster for both Republicans and Democrats when he gets his hands near anything authoritative.

But, you know, if you read Andy McCarthy's piece on our website today, there's just not a lot of

there there in this.

You know, there's not a clear crime.

The grand jury even dismissed some of the other charges that the Trump administration wanted to bring.

And this is just going to be another, it's lawfare and it's a kind of revenge lawfare.
