Summary
11 year-old Mijalina Ortega lived with her PCP addicted father, Michael. He was constantly paranoid, and she would have to tip toe around his outbursts in order to survive. One night while under the influence he was arrested for creating a disturbance. Mijalina was taken into child protective services, but was released soon after to Michael WHILE HE WAS STILL UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF PCP. When they got home, she started to get ready for her first day of sixth grade, but Michael had a mental break that would alter their lives forever.
