Churchill, the early years.

If you ask someone who knew something about Winston Spencer Churchill to tell you of his

life, they would probably say he was born during the century before the Great War and World

War II had some hair-raising adventures when young, exactly what they could not say,

spent time in the political wilderness, a phrase anyone who has skimmed the subject of

the man seems to have heard, and then was called upon to save his country during its

darkest hour.

Well, yes or no.

After all, he wasn't his mid-60s when he got the call.

He did have a life before that moment, and that life had its ups and downs.

Put another way, nature abhors a vacuum, and there's a reason for that, namely because

nothing in history ever happens in a vacuum.

Everything is connected in some degree to everything else, even if it is a few years removed.

Winston Churchill was a man, take him for all and all, and I think that has been more

or less forgotten, that he was simply born to save Britain from Hitlerism.

He was indeed born, suffered the pangs of childhood, and thanks to his mother and father, certainly

more severely than he ought to, grew up, faced bullies at school, unfortunately didn't have

the correct body type to defend himself, strived to make his way in the world, and finally

struggled to find himself.

Except I may be wrong on that last part.
