Benazir Bouto is the victim in our story.

Now, it's time to look at her assassin.

Telling his story is difficult.

I've never met anyone who even knew him.

But whereas Benazir was a one-off, her killer was one of many Pakistanis who for a whole

variety of reasons thought they were doing the right thing by blowing themselves up.

The documents I've got hold of say something about him, and the gaps in the official account

are themselves revealing.

Benazir Bouto may have been a globally known politician, but her killer, the state I discovered,

barely bothered to investigate him.
