Big news yesterday, Trump announces he's coming into Washington, D.C., big time, taking over the police force,

which he can do for 30 days and sending in the National Guard,

which he directly controls in Washington, D.C. to crack down on crime, which he says is out

of control. There's debate about this because crime has been declining, but D.C. is still

terrible in this respect, feels disorderly and very often is dangerous.

This move was occasioned by the terrible beating of so-called big balls, this kid software

engineer with Doge.

I think he's at another department or agency now, but he got a lot of attention when Doge was at its height.

3 a.m. around DuPont's circle, he's getting into a car with the young woman.

These teenagers accost them.

Make sure the girl is safe inside the car and gets beaten by these thugs.

They're pictures of him.

They're just harrowing to see.

Shirt ripped off, bloodied body. Trump has posted about this and said how awful it is.

This is a typical Trump move politically, a big grand gesture, not clear how much of a difference it'll make on the ground and puts Democrats in an awkward spot. Now, some of them have been denouncing

this as insipiate fascism, but a lot of them have been relatively muted. What do you make of it?
