0:00.0	Today we're going to talk about a book that I've written called Reconnected. And I wrote this book,
0:07.9	Reconnected, Recovering the Lost Art of Being Human. Well, what does it actually mean to be human in
0:16.6	2025? And why would we need a book about recovering the lost art of being human?
0:24.4	Well, I don't know about you, but the last few years, it feels like quite possibly we've
0:31.8	forgotten how to do that. And not through any fault of our own. let's go ahead and blame something now now you know we got
0:43.1	some round of ovation people coming here but not not everyone's going to like applaud the fact that
0:47.6	this has just really jacked us and and and here's the thing this is neither good nor bad. I need to let everybody know.
0:56.3	This is just like, don't worry, I've got a Syrian insurance. I can get a new one if it breaks,
1:01.7	but this is just a piece of glass. It's seven inches of LCD with some chips on the inside of it.
1:08.1	So this is neither good nor evil. It's just a thing.
1:11.1	It's just a tool.
1:12.7	But what I realized very quickly is that it's so important.
1:18.1	The reason why I called this book Reconnected is because I feel like we need to reconnect back from this into this.
1:27.1	You see, the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword.
1:33.7	But I've seen us slowly but surely stop being disciples by this and begin to be
1:41.3	disciplined by this.
1:43.1	The church at large is being no longer discipleed by the word of God,
1:47.0	but by pundits, podcasts, and all sorts of other things. And this is not me pointing a finger,
1:54.7	because let me tell you why I wrote the book. About three years ago, I got that screen time
2:00.5	notification that comes up on your screen.
2:03.0	You guys, you'll probably get it today.
2:04.8	We normally get it on Sundays.
