When I was a young adult, I once heard a radio broadcast discussing Latter-day Saints

and their beliefs.

I don't remember who the commentator was or even what program it was on.

But the person was from another faith and I was interested in his perspectives on us.

For the most part, he did a good job summarizing our key positions.

But toward the end of the interview, he said something that all these decades later,

He said something along the lines that although Latter-day Saints are generally good family-oriented

people with Christian values, they have a doctrine that keeps us outside of the traditional

I remember hearing that and being so confused why that was considered blasphemous or why it

Now that I am a little bit older, I better understand some of the differences in doctrinal

However, I also understand that to blankly say that it isn't Christian to believe that
